Jonathan Williams Honored with Humanitarian Award

The Beawnont Branch of the National Association of University Women, Inc (NAUW) is happy to announce that Jonathan Williams has been selected as its Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award recipient for 2025. The presentation will be made on Saturday, March 29, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at the NAUW Founders Day Celebration. We are excited and honored to have this distinguished gentleman and former BISD teacher as our recipient this year.

Mr. Williams is the CEO/Founder of Jonathan Williams Center for Performing Arts (JWCPA). He has been instrumental in bringing a new arts culture to Beaumont through the JWCPA, sponsoring numerous productions during the past ten years. Mr. Williams conducts yearly student production camps and has directed and produced such plays as Annie, Jungle Book, Mahalia, Scrooge, and Llon King, featuring numerous artists and comedians.

Become a sponsor of the Jonathan Williams Center for the Performing Arts (JWCPA) Summer Camp. Students ages 5-17,

You will be sponsoring one or more students at $150 each (a tax deductible donation). Our goal is 30 or more students.

Please fill out the following form to make a monetary donation. Then click the donate button below and choose Summer Camp Sponsors when given the choice (after you have specified a donation amount). This will help us keep track of your donation and ensure it goes precisely where you want it!

A Great Musical Theater Project!

We are producing quality musical theater in our community, where there is little to none available. Our talented young performing artists are having to move away to find opportunities. We want to provide viable performing opportunities for them here in Southeast Texas! JWCPA is doing just that. A production is coming up December 1 and 2, 2017. Three performances of "The Gospel According to Scrooge".
